Social Security Statements

If you haven't received your Social Security Statement this year, don't panic you are not alone. As per a May 1, 2012 Press Release from Social Security Statements are now available online at My Social Security. The new online Statement provides eligible workers with SECURE and convenient access to their Social Security earnings and benefit information.

Why? In light of the current budget situation, they have suspended the (Request) a Social Security Statement Service. If you have any additional questions their website has a Frequently Asked Questions section for My Social Security along with many other topics with regards to Social Security.

How do I create my Social Security Online account?

In order to gain access to your personalized online Statement, you must have a valid E-mail address, a Social Security number, a U.S. mailing address, be at least 18 years of age or older and be able to provide information about yourself that matches information already on file with Social Security and an external authentication service provider, Experian. People must provide their identifying information and answer the security question(s) in order to pass this verification process. This process protects you and keeps your personal Social Security information private.

Once verified, create a "My Social Security" account with a unique user name and password to access your Statement online.

Optimize my Social Security benefits.
